The Lanark County Ambulance Service   (operated by the Almonte General Hospital) is the sole Service Provider providing ambulance services within the County of Lanark, and provides 24-hour pre-hospital BLS emergency and non-emergency care and transportation to and between hospitals for individuals experiencing injury or illness since September 1st, 2000. All bases are staffed with one twenty four hour vehicle in Carleton Place, Almonte, Perth and Smiths Falls with a second vehicle on days in Carleton Place, Perth & Smiths Falls. Our 1996 90th Percentile Response Time is 15:49 for Code 4 Responses. We will additionally respond from receipt of a call to booking out to the call within two minutes. We additionally have an Emergency Response Vehicle for Lanark Highlands which is staffed Monday thru Sunday 24/7 hrs .

Lanark County wins coveted 'Slim till you Win' cup!

Lanark County has the biggest losers! Participants throughout the county emerged victorious by collectively losing the most punds and inches in the Slim till you Win competion against Renfrew County. Organizers were on hand to present council with the coveted cup at the regular meeting May 26, 2011.

The Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal (EMSESM)

As part of the Canadian Honours Programme, the Governor General makes available Exemplary Service Medals for EMS professionals. The Award was created in 1994 and is available to eligible members of the pre-hospital emergency medical service who have served for at least twenty years in a meritorious manner. It recognizes those professionals who have performed their duties in an exemplary manner, characterized by the highest standards of good conduct, industry and efficiency. To qualify, at least ten of these years of service must have been street level duty involving potential risk to the individual.

Interfleet®,  the premier Internet based automatic vehicle location and dispatching solution from Grey Island Systems International Inc. This product lets us and our ambulance dispatch track and locate our ambulance fleet throughout Lanark County. The CF29 Panasonic Toughbooks were donated by funds raised by the Lanark County Ploughing Match

Lanark County Ambulance Service Manager 

Mr. Jim McIsaac is the Manager of Lanark County Ambulance Service. Jim has been been in the EMS field since 1974, progressing from ambulance officer to Supervisor, Manager and then Operator of Carleton Place/Richmond Ambulance Service. Jim was also Director of Operations for Eastern Medical Services based in Osgoode. Jim has served and continues to serve on many EMS and community committees and boards as a former Director of the Board of the Ontario Ambulance Operators Association and currently a member of the Association of Municipal Emergency Medical Services of Ontario.
